Neal Pollack picks the Suns in seven. That will be difficult to do, unless Kurt Thomas' recovery is very quick. Or unless the Suns are pulling a fast one by keeping on the playoff roster a certain third-year forward whose name rhymes with "God-emire."
I love the Mavericks, and they are primed for the Finals. This is their series to lose. But loyalties are loyalties, and my life as a basketball fan began in Phoenix. Go Suns.
Bell's going to miss two to three games. Does not bode well. The Suns have no bench, and the Mavericks are 10 deep -- nine deep if Josh Howard misses the next game. It's just hard to believe the Suns can play at that level for that long without a key starter, their top perimeter defender and third scoring option.
ReplyDeleteBut the Suns have been through an entire season and postseason of defying the odds. It's been wonderful to experience as a fan, and I won't give up on them now.
